Carbon Verification/Strategy Services
Reducing emissions
Carbon reporting, market support and EU/UK regulations
Most companies are now familiar with the EU and UK greenhouse gas Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Regulations, which took effect in the UK in 2005. However, these have now been joined by the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme and the Energy Saving and Opportunities Scheme (ESOS).
These regulations create a lot of work, but they also serve an important purpose: helping the UK and EU reduce their overall carbon emissions, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. Whether you’re obliged to report under the regulated carbon schemes, or you choose to take part in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), SOL is here to help.
Our carbon verification services
Our team of experts can produce calculation and reporting methodologies, and undertake site verification audits. We can provide verification statements, regulated submissions, and project monitoring strategies, or simply advise on carbon reduction and reporting requirements.
We are also trained in accordance with the ISO 14064 suite of standards, and we regularly support a wide range of organisations in calculating and reporting their scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions. Building on these findings, we develop bespoke carbon reduction plans for each client, helping them meet strategic or mandatory targets.
ESG made easier
SOL’s ESG (environmental, social and governance) services provide comprehensive due diligence and strategic support to organisations that report under frameworks including IFRS S1/S2, CSRD, GRI and many more. Our clients are organisations of all shapes and sizes, across a wide range of sectors.
Our detailed due diligence process evaluates ESG risks and opportunities, extending to both upstream and downstream supply chain partners. On this basis, we can help you develop an ESG strategy from the ground up, provide support with investment or acquisition decision-making, measure compliance with ESG goals and strategic targets, and advise on compliance with the shifting regulatory requirements.
