EU ETS, ESOS and CRC
The greenhouse gas Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Regulations have been established in the UK since 2005 and have now been augmented by the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme and the Energy Saving and Opportunities Scheme (ESOS). All of these regulations assist in the UK and EUs obligations to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with EU’s Kyoto Protocol reduction target.
